Illinois AMBER Alert Task Force

The Illinois AMBER Plan Task Force was established in 2003 as a result of Public Act 093-0310. The Illinois AMBER Alert Task Force is a not for profit organization that has the mission to fight back against child abductions by reacting, preventing, educating, and bringing overall awareness to this type of child victimization.

The Task Force meets on a regular basis to “monitor and review the implementation and operation of the system … including procedures, budgetary requirements, and response protocols.” The Task Forces main goal is to provide the framework for making the Illinois AMBER Alert Plan as efficient and effective as possible.

The AMBER Plan Task Force also provides training and education to law enforcement professionals, elementary and secondary school children, and the public.

Community Outreach, Education, and Law Enforcement subcommittees have been formed to meet the mandates of the legislation.

The Task Force is not a state funded organization and relies on private donations to meet the needs of the AMBER Plan. If you would like to help provide financial support or would like to participate in a fundraiser for the AMBER Alert Program, please contact the AMBER Alert Task Force Chair or just click here to donate. Your donation is tax deductible.

How can you help?

Thank you too

The Illinois AMBER Alert Notification Plan relies on your help. The Task Force is not a state funded program and therefore does not receive state or federal funds. We rely on donations from corporate partners and private citizens. There are many things you can do individually and at your work to help find missing children, prevent sexual exploitation, and keep children safer on the Internet.

Time is of the essence when you are dealing with an abducted child. Your donations help increase the technology used during and AMBER Alert to speed up the efficiency and effectiveness of the information sharing. The Task Force Fund is also used to provide child abduction education to elementary and middle school students, as well as training to law enforcement personnel throughout Illinois.

Your donations are tax deductible and 100% of your donations are used for AMBER Alert efficiency, awareness, and education. Click here to Donate.
